FLORENCE IN THE WORLD, THE WORLD IN FLORENCE

The photographic exhibition proposes an exercise in interpretation and reading of the personality of the Tuscany region with a representation of the elements, the people and the commercial and artisan realities that, with their know-how, give life to the contemporary culture of the Florentine area.

The exhibition was conceived and required by the Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco and the Life Beyond Tourism – Travel to Dialogue Movement which promotes and enhances global cultural expressions of different places.

The exhibition is made up of 42 photographic shots composed in 14 triptychs that represent the landscape, a selection of details of architectural, cultural and natural elements and cultural expressions with their products that are its constituent elements. Each triptych is equipped with NFC technology that link to specific pages on the Life Beyond Tourism portal with technical information on the shot and cultural insights by the Movement.

The exhibition is supposed to be spread in all the institutions part of the Foundation’s network and it was inaugurated in Florence, at the Auditorium al Duomo, on February 11th 2021 and at March 2021 it was already open in

Russia, at the Ivanovo State University,
Russia, at the Tambov State Technical University,
Russia, at the Togliatti Academy of Management,
UK, at the Durham University,
Lithuania, at the European Humanities University,
Georgia, at the New Higher Educational Institute,
Latvia, at the Riga Technical University,
Morocco, in Rabat at the United Cities and Local Governments Africa,
Azerbaijan, at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction,
Georgia, at the Tbilisi New Higher Educational Institute,
Poland, at the Academy of Fine Arts of Lodz.

Each institution will then create a representation of its own place, enhancing, promoting and communicating the local know-how and traditional knowledge. In the fall 2021 a Festival with all the local exhibitions will be held in Florence.
