ISOLE ITALIANE - WLOSKIE WYSPY

Italian Institute of Culture of Cracow (Poland)

April 9 - May 3, 2024

5 rooms - 50 photographs - 1 video

The exhibition is the result of a specific declination of the Archipelago project for the Italian Institute of Culture in Crakow. It develops over five rooms, each hosting one or more archipelagos. A selection of the Italian archipelagos mapped by the project is on display, including the Tuscan Archipelago and the Aeolian, Egadi and Pelagie islands and, for the first time on display, a selection of shots of the islands of Gorgona and Montecristo of the Tuscan Archipelago, of Ischia of the Campanian Archipelago and Pantelleria.

The exhibition deals with three themes that are transversal to all the islands and archipelagos: water, land, houses.

For the first time in Krakow, whiteback paper was used for large formats, for a more immersive experience in contrast to the high resolution detail of smaller fine art prints and a backstage video enriching the photo-exhibition with the fourth dimension of time and sounds. It is recommended to watch the video in its entirety and at high volume.
