ISOLARIA
Vukovar Municipal Museum and Italian Institute of Culture of Zagabria (Croatia)
February 20, 2025 - March 16, 2025
Vernissage on February 20, 2025 at 7 pm

Isolaria is an exhibition that features 52 photographs of 8 Italian islands and a video.
The Mediterranean is an inland sea, the cradle of some of the most ancient civilizations on the planet, a place of movement, exchanges, encounters, clashes and discoveries. Its islands have always been part of the sea system but have often been disconnected, ‘isolated’, from the land system.
Living on islands means living in the meeting between the sea and the land, creating a relationship that is reflected in the houses, between settlement morphologies and architectural typologies.
