Salsedine is an exhibition that forms part of the Archipelago project, a photographic research initiative dedicated to documenting and celebrating the diversity of the Mediterranean islands and their cultural identities. This project particularly focuses on inhabited islands, exploring the relationship between residential areas and both terrestrial and marine landscapes.

The project aligns with the framework of the UNESCO 2005 Convention for the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions. It is a long-term endeavor that began in 2018, with a projected duration of 50 years, aiming to map the Italian archipelagos by 2028. The exhibition comprises 32 photographs, 7 maps, 1 video, and 2 photographic compositions from 10 Italian islands.
